Born in Mombassa, Kenya

SHIRISHKUMAR'S STORY

In Loving Memory of Shirish. Born in the vibrant coastal town of Mombasa, Shirish was the youngest of eleven children—and thoroughly spoilt by his parents and his ten older siblings. His early years were filled with love, laughter, mischief, and a strong sense of family that he carried with him all his life. From a young age, Shirish had a true zest for life. He believed deeply that “the best is yet to come”—a saying he lived by, and one that truly defined his spirit. Whether he was swimming in the sea, playing a relaxed game of snooker, or enjoying a round of golf, he made sure to embrace every moment. Golf, in particular, was a real passion of his. He loved nothing more than spending a few hours out on the course, enjoying the fresh air, the game, and the good company. It was something that brought him genuine happiness, and he played with the same joy and enthusiasm he brought to so much of his life. In 1975, he moved to England, where he would go on to build a beautiful life. He met the love of his life, who would become his devoted wife, and together they created a warm, loving home. A proud father to two daughters, Shirish gave them everything—and more. He spoiled them with love, care, and unwavering support, always making sure they never wanted for anything. He absolutely adored his wife, who looked after him with the same dedication and love he gave so freely to his family. A man of simple joys, Shirish loved listening to old Bollywood classics, losing himself in timeless films—Westerns, adventures, and, of course, the golden melodies of his youth. Shirish worked hard in all aspects of life and also gave his time and energy to causes close to his heart, including his work with Bal Krishna Gaushala Panjrapod - a cause deeply rooted in his faith and values focused on protecting and caring for the lives of many Gau Matas. Life with Shirish was built not just around big occasions and memorable holidays, but in the little things—everyday moments filled with laughter, advice, stories, quiet strength, and constant blessings. He was a guiding hand, a protector, and a source of deep love. In his later years, the greatest joy in his life came from his two doting grandchildren. He loved playing chess and watching movies with his grandson, and he could never say no to a game of cards with his spirited granddaughter—who had him wrapped firmly around her little finger. Shirish lived a full and beautiful life, and he leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and joyful memories that will forever be cherished by all who knew him. His laughter, his wisdom, and loving presence will forever be missed but always remembered. May his soul rest in peace, and may his life continue to inspire us all. Om Shanti Shanti Shanti.

SHIRISHKUMAR'S STORY

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Sharad bhai, a man whose humility, warmth, and devotion touched countless lives. Born in Kampala, Uganda, in 1955 he moved to London in 1970, carrying with him a spirit of kindness and community that would inspire everyone he met. After arriving in London, Sharad attended West Hampstead School and then went on to working at a hospital in Russel square while spending his evenings studying accountancy at Harrow College, balancing work, education, and family with grace and determination. A man of deep faith and unwavering love for his family, Sharad bhai lived his life with purpose and generosity. He was a devoted husband, a caring father, and a doting grandfather to four wonderful grandchildren, always eager to teach them the values of integrity, kindness, and joy. His guidance and playful nature made him a true role model—someone who knew how to blend love and wisdom in the most special of ways. In the community, he was a pillar—reliable and ever-ready to lend a helping hand. He always found ways to give back, offering support wherever it was needed. A particularly proud moment in his life was becoming a trustee of the Greenford Temple, where he was a valued and respected member of the team. His dedication to the temple embodied his spirit of selfless service and deep devotion, and his contributions left a lasting impact on those around him. His efforts reached far beyond the UK, touching hearts around the globe. He had a lifelong love of sports, especially cricket, where he found great joy in both playing and cheering from the sidelines. He also loved badminton and garba, even winning a few trophies for his dancing talent. way. Sharad bhai was also a loving brother and a devoted son, spending his life in service to his family, always putting others before himself. His love and dedication to our dear Ba were unwavering, reflecting the deep respect and sense of duty that defined his character. Though his journey here has ended, he leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and community. He taught us all to cherish one another, to give without expectation, and to live humbly. His laughter, his wisdom, and his gentle presence will forever be missed but always remembered. May his soul rest in peace, and may his life continue to inspire us all. Om Shanti Shanti Shanti.
